The Forest County Snowmobile Clubs, (100 Mile Snow Safari, Black Bear Sportsman’s Club, Lumberjack Memorial Trails, Three Lakes Trails, and Tombstone – Pickerel Snowmobile Club) along with sponsors have put in many volunteer hours of brushing, signing, and trail work to confirm a safe opening of the snowmobile trails.  Please thank these individuals and organizations for their efforts and patronize their business sponsors. Without these dedicated clubs, snowmobiling would not be possible in Forest County.  If you don’t belong to one of these clubs, please consider joining one.

The trails are in early season riding conditions; watch your speed and stay to the right.  Clubs have all been out panning and packing a base on the trails, however the current base is not very deep, is soft, and the trail base is icy.  Some open areas may have very low snow conditions, especially on paved roads or open fields.  Caution should be used when entering corners, accelerating, and sudden braking.  There may be ruts and rocks sticking up that are normally beneath several inches of trail base.  These conditions may hamper grooming and upkeep of the trails, and the clubs will get trails built back up as soon as they can.  With low snow conditions, it is imperative riders stay on the marked trails, routes, and lake crossings. We hope you enjoy the 400 plus miles of state funded and club funded trails in Forest County and thank you for supporting the economy of Forest County.  Off trail riding is trespassing and could result in closure or loss of trails and fines for those who violate.
