On January 19, 2026, the Sokaogon Chippewa Community (Mole Lake) Tribe distributed almost $100,000 to local organizations, including Lake Associations, municipalities, Fire Departments and more. The Lumberjack Memorial Trails Snowmobile Club was one of many to receive this funding from the Tribal Council. Pictured are LMT President Rick Hermus and Trail Boss Dave Velie, along with several members of the Sokaogon Mole Lake Tribal Council, accepting the $1,000 grant to be used for trail maintenance. It was a great event, demonstrating how the greater Forest County Community is working together to improve our quality of life, safeguard our environment, and promote tourism. Thank you to the Sokaogon Mole Lake Community for being such a great partner in Forest County.
